Take a closer look at the natural benefits of living in Synergy at Dockside Green:
- The greenway is the main walkway through Dockside Green. It runs north/south through the community and is lined with natural planted areas, benches, a flowing creek and play area.
- The Galloping Goose Trail is an important regional connection through the site. Its alignment along Harbour Road provides key pedestrian and bicycle linkages south to the City centre via the Johnson Street Bridge and north through Point Ellice Park.
- Enjoy more park and green space than any other development in the city. The green spaces will include a mixture of natural plantings, high performance irrigation and rainwater collection for the greenway system.
- The community Amphitheatre and stage oriented to the East will be constructed as a focal point in the centre of the South Plaza in future phases.
- There will be 400 trees planted throughout the community. Indigenous or adaptive species will be used to reinforce the West Coast marina character of the project.
- Public art initiatives will be found throughout Dockside Green. These will include bike racks that are artistically designed and functional in nature, benches throughout the site that are art forms, old marine artifacts, fountains and water features, landscape design and signage that reflects the history of the land and diversity of the ecosystem.
- Restoration of the Point Ellice parkland will create a natural plant community and a natural habitat for indigenous species.
